Aga Muhlach not saddened by MMFF Best Actor loss

10 Jan – Aga Muhlach recently assured that he is not at all disappointed to have lost the Best Actor award at the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival.

As reported on Push, the actor, who spoke about being the favourite to win but losing to Allen Dizon ("Mindanao"), stated that he has already learned not to expect anything when it comes to awards, having been in showbiz for so many years.

"Since I've worked in this industry, I've had my share of things when I was younger where I would really expect to win but suddenly lost. So I have learned not to take it too seriously," he said.

Muhlach added that having the audience watch his performance and loving his movie is an award in its own.

"Winning the award would be great, but not winning it does not change you," the actor said.

Although he received a lot of praise for his performance in "Miracle in Cell No. 7", Muhlach stressed that he is happy for Dizon when the latter won that night.
