Affordable ramen KURO-OBI comes to Singapore

Japanese food has topped the foodie trends in 2016 and the latest addition to the sea of choices is IPPUDO's takeaway ramen concept, KURO-OBI, which opens its doors this Friday (13 January). Offering affordable options between $8 and $12 right in the heart of the upscale Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, KURO-OBI lets patrons customise their ramen bowls according to their tastes. "The concept is different from the traditional ramen eatery, allowing shoppers and working professionals to enjoy a quick wholesome meal customised to their preferences," said Mr Yota Shiiba, deputy general manager of IPPUDO Singapore. KURO-OBI was first unveiled in New York and the Singapore’s outlet is its first overseas foray outside of New York. Right next door to KURO-OBI, IPPUDO is also opening its ninth signature outlet in Singapore. The 90-seater classy dining concept will offer the full IPPUDO menu as well as new dishes such as Samurai Ribs and Almond Jelly Noodles. IPPUDO and KURO-OBI are located at #B2-54/55, Marina Bay Sands.
