Adut Akech was overwhelmed with emotion when she recently spotted her Valentino fragrance campaign in London.
The South Sudan-born model has become one of creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli's muses, and serves as the new face of the Italian label's fragrance, Born in Roma.
A few days ago, Adut spotted her face in a huge display in a duty-free store at Heathrow Airport, and took to Instagram to share her excitement with her followers in a sweet post.
"Look mama my face is everywhere!!!" she began, before recalling her days when she first started modelling, wishing she was one of the women fronting the designer perfumes.
"I remember saying to myself, 'I wish that will be me one', but in the back of my mind I never thought it would happen. And now look today I get see my face big on screens at every airport around the world. My face is big on billboards, bus stations, my face is appearing on YouTube and TV ads all around the world."
Adut went on to thank the Valentino team for the chance to live out her dream and credited a hard work ethic as the reason for her success.
"I pinch myself every day that I made this wish come true by pure self-belief, hard work, dedication and not giving up. This fragrance is one of my biggest and most proudest achievement and I'm forever so thankful to my Valentino family for this opportunity," the 19-year-old added.
