Actor Shaun Chen celebrates youngest daughter's 4th birthday at home
Actor Shaun Chen posted a heartwarming video on his social media platform showing his family celebrating his daughter’s fourth birthday together. However, instead of heading out for a celebration, perhaps due to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), Chen prepared a surprise birthday celebration at home with his wife and older daughter yesterday, 25 July.
Posting an adorable video of his younger daughter coming out of the room to a table full of food, Chen captioned his post with: “Yesterday was my youngest daughter’s fourth birthday, and we created a surprise for her. Who knew she was so calm, and there wasn’t a feeling of surprise. Daddy and Mummy wish that you could always be happy and healthy!!”
Both Chen and his wife, Celine Chin’s voices can be heard in the video, singing Happy Birthday to their daughter. “Wow, you are so calm,” Chin commented in the video after seeing her daughter having no reactions to the birthday surprise.
Celebrities such as Rebecca Lim, Felicia Chin, and Jeremy Chan also sent their birthday well-wishes to Chen’s daughter on his Instagram post.
Having starred in the long-running 132-episode drama Recipe of Life in 2020, Chen is now acting in Leave No Ghost Behind, which is currently in production. The 20-episode drama reunites Chen with Felicia Chin six years since they starred together in The Journey: Our Homeland in 2015.
