ABS-CBN returns to free TV with A2Z Channel 11

7 Oct – ABS-CBN recently announced that it will be returning to free TV through a collaboration with Zoe Broadcasting Network Inc, now rebranded to A2Z channel 11.

As reported on Push, the Kapamilya network shared the news on 6 October in a statement that read, "ABS-CBN produces content for various companies, platforms, and audiences here and abroad. Starting Saturday (October 10), some entertainment shows and movies of ABS-CBN will be seen on the newly re-branded A2Z channel 11 through an agreement between ABS-CBN and Zoe Broadcasting Network Inc.

"A2Z channel 11 will be seen on analog TV in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. ABS-CBN and Zoe are committed to work together to provide entertainment, public service programs, and educational content to the public."

Stars like Angel Locsin, Regine Velasquez and Vice Ganda rejoiced at the news, with Velasquez writing, "You will see us on free TV again. God is so good."

The news came five months after the Duterte administration rejected its application to renew its franchise, followed by the subsequent denial by the House of Representatives. The company had since been airing its programmes via cable on Kapamilya Channel and free streaming service, Kapamilya Online Live.
