ABS-CBN Films to remake 1996 hit film, "Magic Temple"

10 Dec – ABS-CBN Films recently announced that there will be a remake of their hit 1996 fantasy adventure film, "Magic Temple", as reported on Rappler.

Filmmaker Olivia Lamasan, who is also the managing director of ABS-CBN Films, shared to the media that the upcoming film will be a collaboration between the company with Singapore-based production studio, Cre8 Productions.

"It's something we are working on right now and are really excited about," said Lamasan.

However, the project has yet to find its cast and crew, and will only begin pre-production early next year.

Aside from "Magic Temple", as well as the horror movie "Eerie", the two companies will be cooperating on several other projects in the near future.

The original "Magic Temple" was released in 1996, and tells the story of three boys (played by Jason Salcedo, Junell Hernando, and Marc Solis) and their adventure on the journey to the titular location.
