17 Sep – ABS-CBN head of TV entertainment Laurenti Dyogi recently revealed that the network will continue to release new shows despite its franchise renewal being denied by lawmakers.
As reported on Push, Dyogi, who spoke about Kapamilya's new shows recently, stated that they have never stopped producing programmes despite the challenges that came their way. This include a new KathNiel yet-to-be-titled series, a new drama starring Angelica Panganiban titled "Walang Hanggang Paalam", and the series, "Cara Y Cruz" starring Julia Barretto.
"We want to help the economy, so we need to produce programs to give livelihood to our workers and talents," he said, adding that a lot of actors and crew even agreed to pay cuts to enable more shows to be made despite the network's current situation.
Aside from the three shows, ABS-CBN will also continue to release new episodes of their ongoing shows like "Ang Probinsyano" and "A Soldier's Heart", as well as programmes like Angel Locsin's "Iba 'Yan" and "It's Showtime".
The company will also work on various digital shows and virtual concerts, including "Ask Angelica" and the visual podcast "Listen to Love: The Four Bad Boys and Me".
