ABS-CBN condemns shooting incident involving Kim Chiu

6 Mar – ABS-CBN has recently released an official statement regarding the shooting incident involving the vehicle carrying actress Kim Chiu.

As reported on Push, the network posted a statement saying that they condemn the shooting incident involving Chiu, her personal assistant and her driver in Quezon City.

"The network is relieved that none of them got hurt and is taking measures to ensure their safety. Our priority now is attending to their needs as they cope with this traumatic experience.

"ABS-CBN would like to thank the authorities for quickly responding to the incident and securing Kim and her companions," the statement added.

Lastly, the company stated that they are currently working closely with the authorities who are investigating the incident in the hope that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

In her previous interview on 4 March, Chiu stated that her van was shot six times by two gunmen on a motorcycle when it stopped at a traffic light on the way to the set of her new series, "Love Thy Woman".
