ABC Discovers’ Digital Talent Competition Announces Winner

Beth Triffon is the winner of the 2016 ABC Discovers: Digital Talent Competition, ABC Talent and Casting said today. The L.A. resident and Columbus, OH, native was selected from 10 finalists following submissions from actors across the U.S.

“I’m beyond shocked and grateful for this extraordinary opportunity,” said Triffon. “Acting is my lifelong dream, and winning this is truly a gift. Being an actor, I’ve learned that you must keep working while never knowing when an opportunity might come.”

To enter the competition, actors were asked to create a video performing one of the comedy or drama scenes posted on its website and were judged on quality of performance, potential star power and technical skill set.

“ABC Entertainment has a strong legacy of supporting, fostering and championing new talent,” said Ayo Davis, SVP Talent and Casting. “We’re excited to welcome Beth Triffon to the ABC family. She’s an extremely talented and skilled actress with a fresh voice, and we look forward to working with her this year.”

The finalists were Roland Buck III, Paulina Bugembe, Nicole Gutteriez, Christina Leone, Marlene Martinez, Matt Pascua, Taylor Sele, Candice Singleton and Maria Sten.
