However, hopes for the actors to reprise their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman were dashed when their next project was revealed to be... a new drinks brand.
Paul and Cranston have launched a new Mezcal company called Dos Hombres having conceived the idea “three years ago” while they “sat in a sushi bar in New York.”
Breaking Bad fans were pretty disappointed with the news and having been venting online.

We have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok, and flat out DECEIVED by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul! pic.twitter.com/7ixadPqjE2
Dos Hombres is the latest in the line of drinks brands founded by celebrities.
George Clooney founded his Casamigos tequila company in 2013 while Dan Aykroyd launched his Crystal head Vodka in 2007. Ryan Reynolds became the owner of Aviation Gin in 2018.
Paul and Cranston said in a statement: “We had the time of our lives while shooting Breaking Bad and truly built a very special bond. Knowing that we couldn’t share the screen for quite a while - our thoughts turned to a new project. We sipped cocktails and thought about what it should be.

“The younger one looked at his drink and said, you know what we should do? We should do a really special Mezcal. The older one said, you mean the liquor with a worm at the bottom? Nah, that was just some bulls*** gimmick, I mean real, artisanal Mezcal made by hand in Mexico. After that dinner we couldn’t get the idea out of our heads."
"So, we started traveling to Oaxaca to see if we could find it, and we mean it had to be 'it,' something so damn good even people who don’t think they like Mezcal will love it," the statement continues.
"It had to be perfect or we weren’t going to do it. We searched high and low all over Oaxaca, met incredible people along the way and after a beautiful yet gruelling search throughout that majestic landscape we believed we may have found our place. Our Mezcal."
Well, at least some people were cool with the idea.

However, it’s not all bad news for Breaking Bad fans as Netflix is currently producing a movie sequel to the show, starring Aaron Paul, that will show what Jesse Pinkman did next after the events of the show.
