In the last 13 years of their 63-year marriage, Georgia natives Clarence and Carolyn Purvis often enjoyed lunch together at Smith's Restaurant in Reidsville, roughly 65 miles west of Savannah. Carolyn passed away nearly four years ago, but that hasn't stopped Clarence from continuing their lunch dates.

Every day, Clarence eats at the restaurant alongside of photograph of his late wife, according to WTOC.com. In fact, he's known around town for his unwavering devotion to Carolyn. "She was always with me when we were livin'. She's with me now," he told WTOC.com.

The two met and fell in love in 1948 when Clarence was 24 and Carolyn was 16. They wed the following year, and were married for 63 years. Over those many decades, they had three kids, six grandkids, and two great-grandchildren, according to her obituary in Savannah Morning News.

To this day, Clarence is still in love with her. "Eat lunch, come back, watch television, go to bed, love one another. What more you want?" Clarence told WTOC.com. "We had everything we wanted."

Now he spends his free time reminiscing or thinking of her. And he visits her grave several times a day. "I love her that much, and miss her that much," he said. "And think she would with me."
