8 Days and i-Weekly magazines to go digital-only after September
Entertainment and lifestyle magazines 8 Days and i-Weekly will stop their print editions by the end of September and continue publishing through only their digital platforms, said their publisher Mediacorp on Thursday (12 April).
Mediacorp also said in a press release that it would stop publishing the Singapore version of fashion magazine ELLE after releasing the October edition in September. In addition, it would close down parenting website SmartParents.
8 Days’ website was launched last April while i-Weekly’s website was revamped last July.
The media company said these moves were made in line with efforts to refresh the magazines’ brands as it focuses on building its own lifestyle and entertainment content.
