6-Year-Old Girl Sings National Anthem at All American Speedway
A six-year-old singer who’s been performing for most of her life was invited to perform The Star-Spangled Banner ahead of a race at the All American Speedway in Roseville, California, on Saturday, May 20.
Amy Bubenik filmed as her daughter, Amelia, sang her rendition of the national anthem on the racetrack.
“Three days before performing, she had secretly started practicing the anthem with a very special ending and some amazing high notes,” Bubenik told Storyful. "Her version left not only the huge crowd in chills, but also her veteran father, who had never heard her sing it this way!
“Amelia loves to sing, loves to honor our country and military, and she dedicates this performance to honor our fallen heroes this upcoming Memorial Day,” Bubenik added. Credit: @ameliadayusa via Storyful
- (SINGING) Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming. Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free--
And the home of the brave.
- Thank you for that, Amelia, one more time.
