John Lewis’s Anyday homeware range has been such a success since its launch in April this year, that today, the brand has expanded the range to include clothing.

The Anyday Fashion collection is a 700-piece offering that has been designed in-house, bringing with it tons of newness for the autumn season. But the best bit? The price points are 20 percent lower on average than its current own brand ranges, like And/Or and Modern Rarity.

That isn’t to say it’s quality will suffer, however. A jersey T-shirt will set you back £6, while the most expensive piece is a weighty puffer coat which comes in at £86. All of the cotton in the range is backed by the Better Cotton Initiative, while the viscose in the range is the most sustainable form possible, and the polyester is 100 percent recycled.

For those keen on updating their looks for the new season but without breaking the budget, the launch is ideal. Jumpsuits, shackets, light knits and smart trousers all feature, with an effortless low-key vibe. The brand noted that the range ‘feels optimistic and youthful and nods to key seasonal trends.’ The designs are minimal which means they can look more expensive than the bargainous price tags suggest.

Here are the 6 pieces to snap up now, and how to wear them…

If you’re looking for a casual frock that won’t blow up in a breeze, Anyday’s corduroy shirt dress is a great option. It’ll look just as good over a T-shirt (and worn open over jeans), as it will over a turtleneck and with knee-high boots come winter.

How to wear it now:

Over a T-shirt, with tailored trousers and leather loafers.

The teddy coat

Anyday’s teddy coat comes in both a classic dark camel and a lesser-spotted chic forest green, both of which are versatile wintery hues which means they’ll work with myriad outfits. As they’re weighty, you might expect to pay well into three figures for a great one, but Anyday’s is a sweet £68.

How to wear it now:

Save this one for when the weather turns, then wear it over everything from midi dresses to tailoring.

The denim jumpsuit

A piece that works for almost any occasion – from working-from-home to weekend errands to dress-down Fridays in the office – is a worthy investment, and this denim jumpsuit is a fine example. The dark indigo shade gives a polished feel, as does its minimal design and simple belted waist.

How to wear it now:

With dad trainers for weekends, and with leather pumps and a navy blazer for the office.

The cosy puffer

When it comes to properly warm winter coats, you’d be hard-pressed to find one equal parts cosy, practical and fashion-forward as the humble puffer. Anyday’s version is understandably the most expensive piece in its new collection, but at £86, it’s still on the affordable end of the spectrum in comparison to others on the high street.

How to wear it now:

With jeans and a fine cardigan, then under a chunky knit for winter.

The sage knit

Cream, navy, grey and black crew neck knits are a staple in the modern woman’s cold weather wardrobe, but if you’re looking for a knit that’ll prove just as useful and will add a new season feel to older looks, look no further. Pastels feel refreshing in winter, and Anyday’s simple knit in blush or sage ticks that box.

How to wear it now:

Over a printed dress with white trainers for now, then with white jeans and black ankle boots later.

The cord shirt

One of this summer’s It looks is comprised of an oversized cotton shirt over a ribbed vest, and as the weather cools down, you might have thought you’d have to retire the summery combination. But Anyday has the trans-seasonal solution: a long-sleeved corduroy shirt in a versatile ivory hue.

How to wear it now:

Over a grey T-shirt with a printed midi skirt now, and layered over a ribbed turtleneck for winter.
