Actor Colton Haynes often plays the straight man: stoic, serious, or youthfully determined, Haynes’ roles often define the modern-day protagonist, even when he’s part of the secondary cast. With that in mind, Haynes’ Halloween activities couldn’t be any farther away from his on-screen personas. For over half a decade, Haynes’ creative costumes have been making headlines, and this has served to propel the actor to take on even crazier personas every year. While he’s often found in the spandex of a certain red vigilante, Haynes often opts for female characters and over-the-top makeup.

This year was no different: With massive prosthetic breasts, a pig nose, ears, and a bright pink ensemble, Haynes dressed as Miss Piggy this past weekend to celebrate the spookiest day of the year. Miss Piggy herself has been mostly out of the limelight since the end of The Muppets, ABC’s latest addition to Jim Henson’s Muppets franchise. Luckily for Haynes, Miss Piggy is set to return to the small screen with a Muppet Babies reboot — so while the scandal and attitude of her adult years may be gone, at least he’ll have more Piggy.

Haynes’ costumes are often major group projects, and Miss Piggy was yet another collaborative effort. Former Teen Wolf makeup artist Erik Porn (yes, that is his name) created the costume’s artificial pieces and spent four hours doing Haynes’ character makeup. Actress Ally Maki joined Haynes to complete his costume with her own spin on Kermit the Frog.

Needless to say, Haynes has a history, and his over-the-top efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. Dating all the way back to 2012, Haynes has created something of a personal tradition, and it’s left fans already eager for what he has prepared for 2017.
