5 interesting beauty looks at Paris Fashion Week: Haute Couture SS19
There were lots of mesmerising beauty looks at Paris Fashion Week: Haute Couture SS19 and we reckon these trends will be a hit off the runway too! Here’s a few looks we’d like to highlight.
Guo Pei
Guo Pei’s sweeping dresses were theatrical and of grandeur, so the models’ looks were peppered with cherry-kissed lips and smoky eyes to mirror strong warrior-like women of the past. It’s quite an easy look to duplicate at home – just don’t forget a primer eyeshadow base and make a thicker extension towards the outside of the eyes.

Balmain
Could this be a page pulled from Disney’s ‘Frozen’, if we say so ourselves? Everything is icy cool about this look but we reckon it’s not something you’d want to pull off in the office, especially when eyebrows are bleached too.
Elie Saab
So romantic and soft! The looks were kept simple here, with a hint of dewy complexion; foreheads and high cheekbones were highlighted to give a contour effect. Soft kohl eyeliner lines the upper and lower eyelid, before sweeping glitter eyeshadow across the lids. Definitely something we’d want to wear for a night out.
Valentino
The illusion of a feathery bird perched in an English garden was all the feels we got from this look. Complexion was kept matte, and the focus was on the eyes with thick eyeliner and eyelashes, coupled with some additional props. The model’s lips were kept translucent with just a hint of gloss to soften the look. Hair is kept sleek in a ponytail. We love!
Chanel
Gravity-defying hair accompanied smoky eyes and bright lips at Chanel’s show – simply apt since the look was inspired by Marie Antoinette, mirroring the 18th century look that is over the top and glamourous.
