The set comes with a regular Freeview HD tuner, rather than Freeview Play, so TV catch-up isn’t as comprehensive as some rivals, but LG’s versatile webOS smart platform still offers a wide variety of streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube, plus some that are less readily available, like Apple TV+ and Now TV.
All these apps are accessed through an easy to use launcher bar that sits across the bottom of the screen.

Why we love it
Navigation is via the brand’s ‘Magic’ cursor remote control. If you don’t want to point at everything, you can always talk, as there’s support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant too.
Movie lovers will value the Hollywood approved Filmmaker Mode, which automatically manages picture settings for maximum cinematic effect, while gamers will appreciate the Auto Low Latency mode, to reduce gaming lag.
Extra smarts come in the shape of AI audio, which optimises playback according to the ambient noise in your living room. Even if things get boisterous during lockdown, you should still be able to follow your favourite soaps.
