A week before the launch of the 2017 MICHELIN guide Singapore, 38 eateries have been awarded with the Michelin Bib Gourmand, Michelin Singapore announced on Thursday (22 June).

The Michelin Bib Gourmand recognises eateries in Singapore that offer quality cuisine at a maximum price of $45 per person.

Nine new entrants have also made this year’s Michelin Bib Gourmand list, including French restaurant Bar-Roque Grill at Tanjong Pagar, Tsuta ramen at Pacific Plaza and Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant by chef Teppei Yamashita at Keong Saik Road.

The nine new entrants are:

  1. Ah Er Soup

  2. Bar-Roque Grill

  3. Hawker Chan

  4. Man Man Japanese Unagi

  5. New Lucky Claypot rice

  6. The Blue Ginger

  7. Shirokane Tori-Tama

  8. Tsuta (Pacific Plaza)

More hawker options have also been added to the list, including new entrants such as Ah Er Soup in ABC Brickworks Market, which serves Cantonese-style soups, and New Lucky Claypot Rice at Holland Drive Market and Food Centre.

Last year’s edition of the Bib gourmand featured more hawker stalls, but this year, 18 of the 38 on the list are restaurants.
