Renaissance man Terry Crews counts illustration among his many talents, and with the help of a fireplace and a festive smooth jazz soundtrack, he's given birth to something that absolutely needs to be a new holiday tradition: A Yuletide painting livestream in the style of Bob Ross.

Crews painted a wintery scene featuring a decked-out Christmas tree, keeping up a soothing sotto vocce monologue all the while. It's a clear homage to the late, great Bob Ross, and Crews was sure to pay his respects. While daubing in some greenery, Crews dropped a "Happy little trees." Smiling, he told the audience, "I always wanted to say that."

It takes around an hour for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star complete his masterpiece, and then the footage loops for our multiple viewing pleasure. NBC started the stream Friday, and will continue for 24 hours. Check it out below.
