The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations Are Finally Here and The Competition is Intense

Not even a pandemic is going to stop the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards from happening. The iconic award show, which honors the best music videos throughout the past year, is still planning to go on as planned and they just announced their full list of nominees. Top contenders include Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, who have 9 nominations each. The majority of their noms are thanks to their video for "Rain on Me" from Gaga's latest album Chromatica. Meanwhile, Billie Eilish and The Weeknd are right behind with 6 nominations each.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing, MTV also added two brand new awards: "Best Music Video From Home" and "Best Quarantine Performance." Fans who want to cast a vote for their faves can go to official VMA page for 15 different categories, including "Video of the Year" and "Artist of the Year".
