Halloween weekend is almost here, so you know what that means: Time to stop procrastinating! Gather up the finishing touches for your Halloween costume, scoop up some pumpkins for carving, and pick up some cobwebs for your front lawn.

And what could be a more festive addition to your idyllic October DIY weekend than some Halloween-themed television? We know you’ve probably already got Hocus Pocus, The Craft, and The Nightmare Before Christmas lined up, so we sought out some of the best Halloween episodes from a bunch of our favorite TV shows, with a little help from USA Today and People.

1. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

This classic is celebrating its 50th anniversary, so you simply must rewatch the heartwarming tale of Linus’ search for the perfect pumpkin this year.

2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer — Season 4, Episode 4: “Fear Itself”

Considered by most to be the best Buffy Halloween episode, the Scooby Gang is attacked by scary skeleton, bat, and zombie decorations that have come to life. Eek!

3. Parks and Recreation — Season 2, Episode 7: “Greg Pitikis”

Saving a Pawnee statue from being toilet papered by a prankster teen is Leslie Knope’s earnest mission on this hilarious early episode of P&R.

4. The Office — Season 2, Episode 5: “Halloween”

The first Halloween special starring Michael Scott and the gang has some of our favorite cast costumes: Dwight as Star Wars‘ Sith, alongside Pam, Phyllis, and Angela all dressed as cats.

5. How I Met Your Mother — Season 1, Episode 6: “The Slutty Pumpkin”

Where the legen-wait for it-dary running joke got its start: Ted meets a girl (dressed as, you guessed it, a slutty pumpkin), while wearing a hanging chad costume. It becomes his go-to Halloween garb for four years in hopes of reuniting with her (but we’re sure you already knew that).

6. Bob’s Burgers — Season 3, Episode 2: “Full Bars”

The Belcher family’s antics are hilarious on All Hallow’s Eve: The kids seek out full-size candy on King’s Island while Bob and Linda are entwined in a guinea pig murder mystery. Spoooooky.

7. The Simpsons — “Treehouse of Horror V”

While the Halloween Treehouse of Horror episodes are all classics, many die-hard Simpsons fans feel strongly that the fifth, a hilarious parody of The Shining, is the best.

8. Friends — Season 8, Episode 6: “The One With the Halloween Party”

Chandler’s fuzzy bunny costume and Ross’s poop-resembling “Spud-nik.” Need we say more?

9. Modern Family — Season 2, Episode 6, “Halloween”

Haley’s slutty Mother Theresa costume is the crowning jewel on the Dunphys’ usual comedy of errors.

10. Pretty Little Liars — Season 2, Episode 13: “The First Secret”

The first Halloween-themed episode was a flashback to the time when Ali was around, and features a frightening house party and fabulous costumes, naturally.

Now that you have your Halloween-y shows all queued up, make the perfect snack to go with them: Roasted pumpkin seeds! Just use the ones that you already scooped out of your jack-o’-lantern. Let the binge-watching begin!
