Kim Jin Pyo to Skydive with a Car
Kim Jin Pyo will be skydiving not with other people like everyone else—but with a car.
The skydiving mission will be featured on the April 29 broadcast of XTM′s variety show Top Gear Korea 2. The mission is gathering all the more interest because it was never attempted even in the original Top Gear aired on BBC in Britain.
The shoot took place in Arizona′s Coolidge Airport. A preview had been revealed of the jump with Kim Jin Pyo saying, "We can′t just go back like this.... We didn′t come just for this," after which the hard core feat followed.
Netizens have shown their interest in the large scale mission through portal sites and sites like YouTube.
Producer Seo Seung Han of Top Gear Korea 2 said, "Tonight′s episode will be the biggest moment of Top Gear Korea. We plan to pour our efforts into production so that we can showcase a grand and spectacular scene."
Actor Ryu Soo Young will also be making an appearance on the show′s Star Wrap Time segment to show off his hidden driving skills and tough guy image.
Top Gear Korea 2 is the Korean version of BBC′s Top Gear, the world′s biggest automobile variety show. The first season managed to gather popularity from its target audience, men in their 30s, by garnering 1.91 percent of viewership ratings in that specific group.
The show is Korea′s only variety show that features dream cars like the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Benz. The second season started airing on April 8 with new MCs Cho Min Ki, Yeon Jeong Hun and Kim Jin Pyo.
